WoodEye North America Signs Contract for Three Scanners with Batesville Casket

Batesville Casket Co., a Hillenbrand Inc. company and the largest manufacturer of caskets in the United States, has ordered two rip and one cross-cut scanner for the Vicksburg plant in Mississippi.

“Batesville is our largest and most advanced customer on the North American market and we are very happy that we have been trusted with delivering these new scanners”, says Mats Warstedt, President and CEO of WoodEye North America. “We have worked in a tight partnership with Batesville in order to refine the rip functionality further and we are very happy that these efforts have resulted in further yield increases.”

The innovative combination of rip and cross-cut scanners chosen by Batesville enables the user to make unique two-dimensional optimizations of each board. The scanners now ordered by Batesville replace three scanners installed in 2006-07.
